The Mississippi Campaign for Economic Advancement is a nonpartisan research and educational organization – a think tank – and a leading voice for free markets in Mississippi. The organizations mission is to conduct scholarly research and analysis that advances sound policies based on free enterprise, individual liberty, and constitutionally limited government.

MCEA fulfills its mission by:

• Providing Mississippians with needed information to hold government accountable and preserve their liberties;
• Promoting liberty-oriented policy solutions to Mississippi lawmakers and elected officials;
• Facilitating public dialogue that includes the free-market perspective with seminars, lectures, and debates;
• Engaging with media and presenting free-market principles through commentaries, reports, and interviews.

MCEA is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization governed by an independent Board of Directors. MCEA relies on voluntary support from individuals, private foundations and businesses. It does not accept government funding and does not conduct contract research.
